First I'm going to talk about prom in the UK. Last night was Prom Night here. The kids went to a local country club where there was...an OPEN BAR. Yes, you read that right. But before you get yourself into a tizzy, there are two things I need to tell you. One, is that the legal drinking age in the UK is 18. Two, the kids did either rent a limo or took a bus to the country club, so there was no drinking and driving. I'm just curious how many of the parents knew there was an open bar and how many were OK with it. I'm glad that as a parent, I won't have to worry about that, because we will be back in the States by that time.
I am both happy and sad today. Happy to soon be on my way to see family, and yet I'm sad that I have to leave my England friends behind. One friend has been gone for 3 weeks due to her Grandma's failing health and eventual passing :( So by the time I get to see her again, it will have been almost 2 months since we've seen each other. I'm especially going to miss my new EBFF (England Best Friend Forever), my little Bubbalicious and his wonderful sister who is taking care of our Daizey.
