When we got to the check out, the lady looked at all our stuff and said, "You have a bit of a sweet tooth I see." and I replied, "It's for family and friends back in the States, but I will admit that I am addicted to your hippo snacks." She smiled and said "Enjoy". Unfortunately, they did not have any of the Hazelnut Hippos.
On the way, we decided to take a different route and go through a town called Brandon. We hit the Tesco there and found they had the Hazelnut Hippos. I wiped them out too :)
Here are some pics of a Happy Hippo. This is the Cocoa one. They are actually about 2 inches long. Notice that they even give them eyes, nostrils, and a tail...LOL
CJ got to ride the motorcycle today with Daddy and had a blast. He really missed going on rides with Daddy for that year that he was gone.
I'm going to go off topic for just a moment and talk about something that happened today that bothered me, and it has nothing to do with British, UK or traveling.
Today as I was walking over to a friends house to drop something off, I saw some kids outside and they were squirting their water guns across the path I use. The moms were outside talking. As I got closer to where the kids were, one of the mom's told her son to watch out. He stopped squirting the gun and then turned to his mother and said "Shut Up". I almost whirled around on this boy (who was about 12-13) and went postal on him. But I kept my cool, because he is not my child to raise.
It makes me wonder...When and Why did parents stop teaching their children manners and respect??
I have done the best I can to raise to my son to use his manners, talk to adults properly and respect people and their property. Why don't others?
